We recently got a new recording device from Sanyo as a test market customer, and here’s what we think about it.
We are really satisfied with the Sanyo recorder. It has so many features that make it easy to use and to make the quality of the recording the best it could possibly be. This includes how it automatically levels itself so that the recordings are never over-modulated or are never peaking. It has a seemingly infinite amount of space and battery life which makes it fantastic for live recordings. All you need to do is press record, and you’re basically set for the night. The speaker in the back makes instant playback available, a feature that adds to the devices convenience.
The quality of the recordings blow other recording devices out of the water. Bass comes in super boomy and clear, and mids and highs are just as apparent. It’s made for recording music, whether it be just an acoustic guitar or a ten-person jam band, and every aspect of it shows that.
Other great features include the fact that it has an fm radio built in. The keypad is simple, yet takes the user where he/she needs to go in a heartbeat. There are external inputs as well, so that one can plug in a mic if he/she wanted. The unbelievable size still amazes us, especially when we listen to the excellent quality recordings it produces. It’s compatible with both Macs and PC’s, and it is super easy to upload your songs onto the computer. We keep mentioning how great it is for recording music, however it is also great for recording business meetings, interviews, class lectures, etc. Overall, the quality and size of the Xacti Sound Recorder is simply uncomparable.
